Brief Description of DHT11


The DHT11 is a low-cost digital temperature and humidity sensor widely used in weather monitoring, environmental sensing, and IoT applications. Manufactured by various suppliers, the DHT11 provides calibrated digital output and is known for its simplicity, ease of use, and compatibility with microcontrollers such as Arduino, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi.

The DHT11 is capable of measuring relative humidity from 20% to 90% (±5% accuracy) and temperature from 0°C to 50°C (±2°C accuracy). It communicates via a single-wire digital interface, making it easy to integrate into embedded systems with minimal wiring. The sensor samples data every 1 second (1 Hz), making it suitable for non-critical or low-speed monitoring applications.

Housed in a small 4-pin plastic package (often mounted on a breakout board), the DHT11 operates from a 3V to 5.5V power supply, allowing it to work with a wide range of platforms. Although not as precise or responsive as more advanced sensors like the DHT22 or SHT3x series, the DHT11 is an excellent choice for basic applications where cost, size, and simplicity are more important than high accuracy.

Overall, the DHT11 is a popular and affordable digital sensor that provides a straightforward solution for temperature and humidity measurement in beginner-friendly and low-budget electronic projects.
