About Boca Semiconductor Corporation

Boca Semiconductor Corporation was a semiconductor company based in Irvine, California, United States, that produced a wide range of semiconductor products including diodes, rectifiers, transistors, voltage regulators, and other electronic components.

The company was founded in 1965 as Boca Research, a manufacturer of laboratory equipment. In the early 1980s, the company shifted its focus to semiconductor products and changed its name to Boca Semiconductor Corporation. Boca Semiconductor was acquired by Allegro Microsystems in 2001, and the company's product lines were integrated into Allegro's semiconductor portfolio.
