Description
The DIO7xx12 is a series of l2C/l3C multi-port hub
devices with two l2C/l3C master ports and up to eight
l2C/l3C slave ports. By cascading DIO7xx12, users
build a network of DIO7xx12 hubs to provide
connectivity to multiple devices with extended reach
distances and operate using different levels of l2C,
l3C, and SMBus protocols.
The DIO7xx12 supports l2C, l3C basic 1.0, and
JEDEC l3C protocols. Comes with a globally unique
provisioned ID to support ENTDAA CCC and
supports slave port hot join and host port hot join.
In a DIO7xx12 device, each of master side ports is
associated with an on-chip l2C/l3C slave interface.
Each l2C/l3C interface accesses on-chip registers.
Master-master communication is achieved with
shared registers and intra-port lBl channels.
The DIO7xx12 supports five IBI interrupt sources:
PEC error, parity error, slave port event, other master
message request, and bus agent event. Other master
message request and bus agent event support
mapping to any master port.
